Japan Tobacco introduced a range of limited edition packs with an urban look and feel. We came up with the theme “Heartbeat of the city” and captured this concept in a visual device: a heartbeat made of everyday life objects. At the second level, a city skyline is shown. Because the appearance also associates with a music beat, the packs were introduced at a rock festival in Japan. Besides the original design, the package also has an innovative way to open and close.

Our brief was to create a brand-name, labelling and stationery for a range of wines sourced from select New Zealand vineyards.
We adopted Divo for the brand name and designed a clean brand marque in a minimal typographic style. Copy was written for each label to advise of the wines region and tasting profile and a white background was selected to re-enforce the labels minimal feel and increase standout on shelf. Finally a range of stationery items were developed to complement the design of the wine label.

We were commissioned to design the packaging and branding for the famous Dutch liquorice brand Venco – a brand of Cloetta International. Millford was briefed to make a redesign of the current packaging to make the design even more tasteful and ownable. Important elements in the design had be the new and improved product and the 135th years of experience of the brand.

The concept of the Venco packaging came from our clients input, the improved product which will be the tastiest liquorice you have ever tasted. Therefore we stated ‘Ons beste recept! – which means our best recipe, on the front of the pack. This is something we can be proud of! Next to the packaging design itself, we have optimized the Venco branding to make sure it is still up to date and captures the experience of the brand.
